Hello everyone!
Hope you all are in the pink of your health. Winters are here and I wanted something that can cater to this season. My skin is normal but I think it gets a tad bit dry when winter is near. Using season apt product keeps skin well maintained without any problem. So I thought of going for a small shopping to cater this need.
Right now I am obsessed with herbal products, so obviously I was attracted towards Banjara’s since they make some great affordable products. This time they had a lot of new variants in the face wash category. As soon as I ran my eyes through the face wash section, the papaya face wash caught my eyes. I grabbed it with a few other items and left for home.
My Views
I had good hopes on this product since it is herbal. This product comes in a tube packaging, which has nothing fancy about it to showcase. It has an orange color cap indicating papaya as its key ingredient. The flip cap is really tight, making sure no product leaks through it. The color of this face wash is something to adore. It has an orange color with golden tint in it. The golden tint reflects when light passes through it.
Coming to the texture, it has a gel like consistency. Gel like face wash do not dry out the skin too much. The formula is not too runny. It smells exactly like the papaya fruit! The smell was a big turn off for me because I just hate the smell of papaya! The gel is very easy to be applied on the wet face. One thing that I noticed is that the face wash does not lather much. This makes it even better for the winter season because forming face washes dry out the skin.
After I washed my face with this face wash, my skin didn’t feel stretchy but it was kind of dry; it imparted smoothness, but, I did not find it moisturizing. Though the face wash removed all the dirt and grime but somehow I didn’t feel it hydrating my skin deep inside, which I wanted to be in a face wash!

I personally would not recommend this face wash to anyone, because of the smell and the feeling of dryness that it leaves behind. Yes, you can try if you love the papaya’s smell and if you have oily skin!
You have reviewed it very well, Aishwarya. I picked up one of their new range products and it gave me an array of small puss filled pimples. Since then I do not trust this brand completely. I have used and loved their multanimitti facepacks though :)
same pinch!
Nice review Aishwarya! I have tried saffron gel from this brand and it was a let down for me.
Very detailed review dear Aiswariya..I have tried their premium rose water..honestly I did not like the fake rosy smell…?
Rose water does have a fake smell but I find it quite effective. At least it is not like the Dabur one, which stings!
I don’t like papaya so won’t prefer this face wash but this looks good for sure!
ooops…too bad…i like their multani mitti facepack :) but other products are not very impressive i think..
Ohh.. such a dud.
I love non-foaming face wash and wish this was more hydrating as I have dry skin in winter, have never tried banjaras products still
I have super oily skin so may suit me but then again I don’t like papayas :/
