Hello, people! For the last few weeks, I’ve been using this Kama Ayurveda Brightening Night Cream and today I’m sharing my detailed views on it. I had a good experience with their Kumkumadi scrub and that is one reason why I wanted to try this product. Since this was a part of my monthly beauty subscription boxes, I tried the testers (I got more than 2!) to know if the full-sized product is worth buying for my skin type!
My Views:
I’m not aware of the packaging since I tried the tester but it comes in a mini container with a tight black screw lid. There is a lid inside to prevent the product from splillage/drying out. The sample-sized product is perfect to carry during a travel!
The cream has a very thick consistency like that of a butter and it has a mild ayurvedic fragrance. I find the fragrance similar to that of the scrub from the same range and hence, I’ve no issues with it as I’m used to it! It is not overpowering at all. The color of the product is pale yellow/cheese-like.
Though being thick, the cream melts into my skin once applied and it sinks without a greasy/oily look. I sometimes wet my skin before applying this cream to make it spread evenly. Inspite of its richness, it does NOT make my face look oily but of course it is heavy for a normal-oily skin type except for usage in dry weathers. When I used it in a humid weather, it made my facial skin sweat but since the rains have started here already, I’m using this as my night cream daily and it feeds my skin the right amount of moisture. I wake up with soft, smooth skin with no-dryness.
Price : Rs.1195 for 50 g
Rating : 4/5
I’d recommend this night cream to normal to dry skinned people and I don’t think it will benefit normal-oily skin types much unless you are someone who likes heavy-duty moisturization/lives in a cold place. With regular usage, it made my skin softer and I also feel that my tanned-face is clearing out a bit. It does NOT break out my sensitive skin and that’s a plus for me!
Sounds very luscious and nourishing. But my skin tends to be more on the oily skin. Looks like it won’t suit me well.
Yes Sangeeta! It’s quite heavy for oily skin types in a humid weather. But it suits my skin this time of the year! No greasiness at all.
This night cream’s consistency is exactly like butter. I have an oily skin so I don’t think it will benefit me.
It’s of course like a butter, Mariyam! It won’t benefit you if you have an extra oily skin. But it nourishes my skin perfectly! Since it’s a night cream, I don’t mind how dewy it gets over time.
Hi lancy, when are you going to sell the mabh oil outside India??? I have been waiting for it to be available again for over a year. I loved it when I had it. It was great. Please ship to other countries
