Hello, people! This May, I shared my summer picks from the brand Himalaya Herbals and I believe you’d had already checked that! This aloe vera fash was a part of that haul! By the way, I developed an allergic reaction to pure aloe vera gel recently (that we extract directly from the plant) however, I still gave this a try since I LOVE almost every face cleanser from this brand – be it the foaming ones or the cream ones.
I’ve been using this face wash for the last few days or so and my skin feels already good! Today, I’m sharing with you my views on the product!
My Views:
The first best thing about the product is that it claims to be soap-free! It also claims to prevent dryness since it contains gentle natural ingredients from cucumber, aloe vera and Vitamin E!
The product comes in a regular see-through plastic tube with a flip cap. Though I find no bad with the tube packaging, I’m apprehensive to carry it with me during travel since I feel the flip cap is not the sturdiest. I’d have loved it more if they had a sturdy cap or something. I don’t think the texture is purely cream based since it also feels like a viscous gel and it has a moderately thick consistency. The color of the face wash is light pistachio, and I liked it! The fragrance is very mild, hard-to-describe; it may be on the ‘herbal’ side nevertheless it doesn’t hurt my senses one bit.
I take a blob of this product to work on my damp face and I wash it off in a minute after a gentle massage. It causes a mild tingling-cooling sensation every time and then I noticed the ‘menthol’ in the ingredient list! Though not a fan of the fragrance of menthol, I don’t mind the cooling effect since I like it after a tired day. However, if you are allergic to menthol or cooling products, this is not for you then!
The product does NOT lather and if you are someone who thinks ‘foam’ is a must for perfect cleansing then you won’t like this but I love the product for the very same reason! I see very less-to-no lather whenever I use it but it leaves my skin soft, smooth and clean! It removes light makeup and manages to cleanse the dirt/oiliness effectively without leaving my skin dry!
Price : Rs.100 for 100 ml

Overall, this is a very good face wash for the affordable price offered! It is non-foaming; it cleanses well and it does NOT leave my skin rough or dry even if I skip my moisturizer at times. (The weather is humid here and I’ve a normal oily skin!). If you have a dry skin, I highly suggest you to follow-up with a heavy-duty moisturizer. It might dry out your skin if you are allergic to menthol/any other ingredient of the product or the weather is getting colder in your place!
If you are someone who is into mild, every-day cleansers, I recommend this to you! Face cleansers that don’t foam are much better than the foaming ones! (It is my personal preference!)
this is a fab product :) nicely reviewed dear
I’ll definitely try this product as I’ve dry skin. Nice review and nice photos.
I like the mint green color of this face wash and it seems great but if it doesn’t lather much I won’t be satisfied with it!
Simply by reading the name and looking at the product I can assume how refreshing this is going to be! Added to my wishlist. Thanks for the review Lancy!
Sounds like a nice product. And to add it people in Chennai seldom have to worry about dry climate; we have summer almost all year long.
