Hello people!

I’ve been using this ‘All About Sunrise’ eye shadow palette from Essence, since it consists of beautiful warm shades that are also well pigmented, perfectly apt for these summery days! Today, I’m reviewing the product here with my quick swatches!

I’ve also created some easy neutral eye makeup looks with this palette. I’ll soon share the tutorials with detailed photos. If you have any suggestions/requests for the looks, do kindly comment below!

My Views

The palette comes in a rectangular shape and it is made of plastic! Though the packaging looks simple, it is not flimsy in any way. The shades can be seen easily since it is made of transperant plastic. Overall, the palette, though not fancy is very travel friendly; and easy to handle as well!

The shades are arranged in two rows, each row containing three shades respectively.

shades

Shade 1 is a beautiful pearly white shade with minute shimmer. Inspite of being the lightest shade of this palette, it is the most pigmented, which is really suprising. Shades similar to this I’d tried in the past used to be very light; most of them had fall out as well. However, this one is my absolulte favorite since it has no fallout and it is greatly pigmented as well!

Shade 2 is a neutral shade with a hint of gold in it. I love using this shade very often since it looks very natural on my eyelids! I simply give a wash of this shade on my eyelids and put on my eyeliner. It instantly brightens up my eye, making it look fuller! This kind of shade can be paired up with any other eye shadow to try creative eye makeup looks! This also can makes a great office-wear shade, (if used lightly!) though being shimmery.

Shade 3 is a well pigmented Chamoisee shade with hints of taupe and shimmers tightly packed! There’s barely any fallout since the texture itself is silky. I also find the shade chocolaty! I guess I’ll be trying a quick neutral eye makeup look with this shade pairing it up with shade 2.

Shade 4 is a beautiful gold shade; completely festive! This is one of the best gold eyeshadows I’ve ever tried. I mix and match it with different colors. Hopefully, I’ll be sharing a tutorial on an eye makeup look featuring this shade! It has minute gold shimmer and the great thing is, it barely has any fallout!

Shade 5 is a light peachy orange shade that looks more lighter to that of a papaya color. It is a very bright shade with shimmer! I find the shade very unique and beautiful! It’s one of the best shades to try this summer!

Shade 6 is the deepest shade of this palette! It is a deep taupe with minute shimmer. Surprisingly, it is the least pigmented; (or it shows that way on my dusky skin?!) however, it is one beautiful shade to incorporate in a smokey eye makeup look for whoever feels black is stark! I’m thinking to build its pigmentation by using it wet on my eyelids. Any ideas?

Rating : 9/10

For the price paid, the shades in this palette are of superior quality! They not only are pigmented, but stay on my eyelids for 10+ hours easily with slight fading. If applied over a primer, it stays even longer without losing the vibrancy! I’ve tried the gold, neutral shades from this palette for now. Yet to try the other shades.

Stay tuned for my eye makeup tutorials since I’m in love this warm sunrise palette that is aptly named! Much love.
