Hey people!
Today I’m doing an outfit post after a very long time, featuring one of my recent favorite dresses! It is a pink, leopard printed maxi dress from Sheinside, an based online apparel store; I got it along with another lovely dress last month! Few more OOTDs lining up!
Price : $34; Available : Sheinside.com
Outfit :
This maxi dress falls just below my knees but above my ankles! I prefer this length while selecting my dresses. The dress is made of soft chiffon. The material is so light and wearable! It isn’t like few other thick/grainy chiffon dresses that make me feel all sweaty! As the title suggests, it is leopard printed! I spotted some black floral prints as well. The site calls the dress ‘Rose Red Maxi Dress’ however color of the material is pure rose with slight fuchsia hint! It is a very versatile shade! Selecting accessories for the outfit has become easy due to that!
The sleeves are long! Though not full hand, they come close to my wrists. I think it’s a good idea as it makes the dress feel complete! Shorter sleeves would be cuter though. I prefer it this way as well! It has a round-neck which is very close to my neck. Though not a turtle neck, it covers the skin till the neck! (It helped me hide my chickenpox scars over there!)
The dress comes with this belt, which is a lighter rose when compared to that of the color of the dress! It is a deep rose belt with gold shaded metal. It doesn’t hug my waist right; I need to punch few holes to make it sit on my smaller waist!
Overall, it is a lovely ‘Street-style’ dress and makes a simple and perfect outfit to hang out with friends, to shop and spend some happy time with your family during a vacation! Since the dress feels light and comfy, I love wearing it very often!
Few Mirror Sefies
Hair :
This is my hairstyle, as usual – I detangled my hair and parted it in the centre! And I’m done with the hairstyle. I prefer my hair to be loose unless I need to do some cooking in the kitchen where everything falls on my hair, my hair falls on everything!
Being a newbie in doing different hairstyles, I’ve started trying few these days as per readers’ suggestions! (After doing my last hair growth update) I believe I’ll be able to pull off some styles and I shall definitely do tutorials here once I try them on my hair!
Foot wear :
I combined the outfit with this leopard pumps that I got long ago from an online footwear store! (Lovelyshoes.net) Except for the size, I so love this pair for the pattern! It’s a bit tight for my foot which makes my walk uncomfortable; otherwise I enjoy wearing it for outfit photography! I guess I’ll be stocking up few more pumps in coming weeks.
Makeup :
I did not want to do makeup but I did it in a very subtle manner for this OOTD, keeping in mind it’s summer! (I’m letting my chickenpox scars/marks heal so I dislike applying anything to my face!)
I skipped the foundation and concealer for my base makeup. I applied few dots of under eye concealer for my eyes and dusted compact all over my face. I somehow did not want to conceal my chickenpox scars. I actually want them to GO away! I’m happy most of them have faded now.
For my eyes, I gave a mild wash of a matte pink-purple eyeshadow (Zoeva 88 shade palette) on my eyelids and lined the eyes with a black eyeliner! (Wet N Wild Black Eyeliner) I hadn’t shaped my eyebrows in the recent past so I didn’t have the interest to do them with an eye pencil. Hence, I skipped that part!
On my lips, I’m wearing a lightest possible coat of L’Oreal Paris Pure Amaranthe lipstick! But sorry. There are not visible on the first two pictures! Though not red (being in a pure reds collection) it is a wonderful deep fuchsia shade with slightest hint of red on the bullet! I finished the makeup by curling my eyelashes! (No mascara!)
Accessories :
I wanted to wear a long black stoned silver chain with this outfit but I could not find it anywhere at the last moment! Since I already loved the round neck, I did not bother about the neckpiece. On my hands, I’m wearing a simple silver shaded round watch that I purchased from a nearest store.
This glossy black purse is from my recent haul! I got it for some 400 bucks and I’m really loving it! I couldn’t carry it while clicking the pictures since I’d been holding the phone connecting it to my DSLR to take the shots. Doing your own OOTD photography is really a pain. I should learn a lot and do a separate volume on it on the Beauty Blogging Series. If you have any ideas, kindly share them with me!
Did you like the outfit? Do let me know on the comment section about how you accessorize a maxi dress!
P.S : Sorry for the bad photography – messed up light settings, angles and views. I’ll try to get the photos right for my next outfit post! I guess I need to check the terrace.

Hey Lancy why don’t you get a tripod stand for the camera and put it on self timer. that way your hands will be free to hold a clutch and you can always adjust the angles.
