My skin acts weird these days due to the crazy weather in Chennai. In spite of using adequate moisturizers, my skin feels dry and dehydrated. That is when I realized my regular face wash or even the besan-milk combo is not sufficient for my skin! I’ve been using the Faces Hydro Cleanser for a couple of weeks now and here goes my review on it!
Price : Rs.399 for 100 ml
My Views:
The cleanser claims to cleanse, purify, hydrate and brighten your skin! It comes in a neat plastic container with a pump dispenser. This makes the product easy to use and travel friendly.
The texture is smooth, milky; consistency is somewhere between a cream and a lotion. It spreads easily on my facial skin; neither turns too watery or too hard-to-blend. I use small cotton pads to apply and remove the cleanser. The fragrance is very subtle but you won’t even be noticing it.
Coming to the working part, this cleanser does its job quite good! It removes all the dirt, oiliness and impurities from my face leaving the skin soft and moisturized. I only needed a light night cream after cleansing my face with this product as it already hydrated my skin to the level there will be no dry patches. After wiping it with cotton, I splash come cold water over my face to remove the residue. I also use this cleanser around my eyes; and it did NOT irritate the sensitive skin. Full marks for that!
After using the product continuously for 7 days (only at nights) I noticed a subtle glow on my facial skin. Previously, it looked little lifeless and dry. (Due to the weather) Now my skin acts perfectly good and I can simply step up with a lip balm and a water based moisturizer. No more dry patches! I am thinking to use this cleanser on mornings as well.
Note : The hydro cleanser can also be used as your daily makeup remover. Though it doesn’t help with removing water-proof makeup, it does work decently to melt off your daily makeup!
Likes
- Light on my skin; no heavy texture.
- Spreads smoothly and cleanses skin in a jiffy.
- Leaves my skin smooth, clean and non-greasy.
- Very gentle on the skin; no irritation.
- Removes daily makeup easily.
- With regular usage, adds a mild glow to the skin.
- Can be used by most of the skin types!
Dislikes
- Not for very oily skin types in summers!
Verdict:
This cleanser does more than what I actually expected. Moreover, it is very gentle on my skin which most cleansers fail to be. Go for this if you are someone who likes fragrance-free mild cleanser that is gentle on your skin.

Thank you Rashmita! :)
Besan milk combo is the best cleanser you can ever use. Its pure and a natural and way better than any commercial cleanser out there.
I so agree! But I add few drops of oil to it to prevent winter dryness..
