Before finding out this sunscreen product from Lotus my relationship with sunscreens were always of LOVE-HATE type. I could not live without them and using them was equally painful. Often I used to get breakouts on skin using sunscreens as most of them give oily sweaty skin. Also I hated the white cast left behind that took hours to go. Finally three years back before a trip to Andaman I came across this product in a shop when I was trying to find a decent sunscreen that will be helpful for the trip. The words ‘matte gel’ attracted me a lot and without giving a second thought, I bought the product. Since then, for the last three years it is one of my most loyal friends. Read more to know why?

My Views
This is a transparent gel product. I often apply it on my foundations are there is no color change. It blends easily on skin, leaving a soft dewy finish without making the skin oily or dry. Its high SPF is really praiseworthy. I used it for my ten day trip to Andaman and while most of my travel partners got bad sun burns, all I got was a little tan (maybe because I forgot to reapply it although I spent most of the time outside). It protects from both UVA and UVB rays.
The mild fragrance and cute packaging are very much praise worthy. It prevents sweat for at least 3-4 hours. A very little amount of product is needed. For me a tube lasts for at least 2 months of regular application. So although the price is a little high, still it is not a loss at all. But I still get tans and this disappoints me a lot. Frankly, I have never seen any sunscreen products till date that will give you no tan at all. But maybe a sunscreens job is to stop the long term effects on skin by the harmful rays and for that purpose this is the best product I have ever used.
In the collaged picture I have attached the 1st picture shows the gel product. The 2nd picture shows the blended gel. The 3rd picture shows the completely blended and dried product 4 minutes after use.

Truly well said mam! I agree with you! I have bought it recently and i am highly impressed with it.
And your story + review is exactly the same i feel and has happened with me :)
I tried using it before as well as after applying foundation but it causes my foundation to come out in flakes! I’ve got normal skin.. neither dry nor oily.. so should I try applying a moisturizer before using this gel?
