Hello everyone,
I am very excited that I am going to share my hair care regime with you. This is the first time that I am writing anything about my hair. I am glad that MABH has given me this wonderful opportunity and this platform where I can share my hair care routine with you people and will get a chance to know about yours. Before moving further, I would like to give a short intro about my hair.
My Hair Type:
My hair used to be thick, straight, and shiny while I was in school. Once I entered the college, it started losing its shine, I started facing severe hair fall. The sudden increase in the hair fall became the most important problem of my life. I was thinking that if it will continue like this, I’ll soon lose all my hair and become bald. But then after reading lots of magazine and doing lots of google search, I changed my hair care regime. For knowing what new changes I induced in my life and what were the results, keep reading further.
Shampoo and Conditioner I Use:
I used every single shampoo and conditioner available in the market which claimed to stop/control hair fall. I even spend my money on some high end brands, but no miracle happened with my hair. Some shampoo used to control hair fall in the beginning, but they also stopped showing results after continuous use. Then some of my friends suggested me ‘Patanjali Kesh Kanti Shampoo’, which is free from harmful chemicals. It worked for my hair and I am hooked to it from the last 8 months. Another mild shampoo which I use is ‘Johnson’s Baby Shampoo’’. I use this shampoo whenever I have to wash my hair without oiling. I love how it makes my hair baby soft. It is free from scary chemicals.
I also started using conditioner because I read somewhere that conditioner protect our hair from dust, sunlight and acts as a protection layer. So, I started using TRESemme Hairfall Defense Conditioner and I am very satisfied with the results. It has helped in controlling my hair-fall.
Hair Oils I Use:
When I entered in to the college, I almost stopped oiling my hair. Blame it on my busy schedule or on my laziness, but started avoiding oiling my hair. Washing hair on almost every alternate day, that too without oiling made my hair like dry straws. During my school days, my mother ensures to oil my hair before every wash. But when I realised the importance of oiling, I started using oil before washing my hair. Sometimes I just apply Coconut Oil or Patanjali Almond Oil and wash my hair next day. Sometimes when I have ample of time, I mix Johnson’s Baby Oil in it because it has the benefit of Vitamin E in it, which is good for our hair. When I start facing severe hair fall, I switch to Sesa Hair Oil, it has always helped me. I read some very positive feedbacks about Canthradine Hair Oil and tried this. This is an effective hair oil with a very horrible smell.
Apart from these oils, I also use another oil about which I read on some beauty Blog. I have shared the recipe of this secret home-made hair oil Below.
Hair Serums I use:
We all very well know the importance of hair serum. It makes our hair smooth and shinier. It also prevents the hair from entangling and makes frizzy hair straight. There are numerous hair serums available in the market. I used acouple of them, but I was not much satisfied with the results. Then one day I applied Clinic Plus Hair Oil post washing my hair. The oil is so light that it instantly absorbed into my hair without making it oily or greasy. I also like using Dove Elixir as a substitute of serums. I apply 4-5 drops of oil after washing my hair and I loved the way my hair behaves after its application. They become so manageable and smooth.
The Oil Which Rescued Me:
Whenever I talk about castor Oil, image of healthy and thick black hair comes in my mind. I was aware that this oil from a long time but never tried it. But when I started losing hairs, I thought to give it a shot. Castor oil is well known for benefits. It promotes the hair growth and also makes it thick. Being it a thick oil, I mix it with other oils and then use it. Removing it from hair is itself a difficult task. It takes some time to show its result but it has actually promotes my hair growth. I can notice the change, so as my friends. It has not only helped in the growth of my hairs but it has also thickened my eye lashes and eye brows. It is my life saviour which I am going to use my whole life.
My Secret DIY Hair Oil:
I was going through a very bad hair fall phase of my life. I tried every possible method to stop my hair fall, tried each and every shampoo and conditioner which claimed to control the hair fall. I started oiling my hair every night, which controlled my hair fall to an extent but still I was not satisfied with the results. Then one day when I was checking some beauty blog, I came across this oil recipe, I thought to give it a shot and the results amazed me. I started noticing less hair fall. It reduced my hair fall to 80-90% which was shocking for me. Though this oil takes lots of preparation time but the result one gets after using this oil makes it worthful.
Now I am going to share the ingredients I use in this oil and its method:
Ingredients:
1. 4 Table Spoon Coconut Oil
2. 4 Table Spoon Almond Oil
3. 4 Table Spoon Cantharidine Oil
4. 4 Table Spoon Olive Oil
5. 2 Table Spoon Castor Oil
6. 2 Table Spoon Fenugreek Seed
7. 2 Table Spoon Onion Seed
Method:
Firstly grind fand Onion Seeds in a grinder and transfer the content to a clean glass jar. Then add all the oils in the same jar and close the lid tightly. Boil water in a vessel and remove it from the flame. Then put this jar in the warm water for 30-40 minutes in such a way that water doesn’t enter in the jar. Once the water cools down, remove the jar from the vessel and keep it under the sun for 4-5 days and your oil is ready. This much quantity is enough for two-three months.
Weekly Treatment for my hair:
I read somewhere that how important it is to use hair mask once in a week. After reading that, I started using hair masks every Sunday. After using hair mask, I noticed the change in the texture of my hair. It makes my hair smooth and also controls the frizziness. I tried the masks which are available in the market, but their long list of scary chemicals forced me to try something natural and that’s when I started these masks. I am going to share the recipe of two hair masks, I keep alternating it on every Sunday.
Hair Mask Recipe I:
Ingredients:
1. Fresh Aloe-Vera Leaf or Aloe-Vera Gel
2. Fenugreek Seed
Method:
Soak the fenugreek seed overnight in water and next morning drain the water and grind the seeds into fine paste. Cut a fresh Aloe-Vera leaf, remove the outer cover and grind it in a mixer to make a gel. You can also use the Aloe-Vera gels available in the market if you don’t have aloe-Vera plant in the house. Mix both mixture and apply it in the hair, especially on the roots. Keep it for 1-2 hours and rinse with the shampoo. You will start noticing the difference from the very first use.
Hair Mask Recipe II:
Ingredients:
1. 2 Table Spoon Honey
2. 2. 1 Lemon
3. 1 Ripe Banana
Method:
Mash the banana in a bowl, add honey in it and then squeeze the lemon. Your hair mask is ready to use. Leave it for 1-2 hours and then rinse it with luke warm water. Removing it from hair is a difficult task and can’t we such little effort to make our hair healthy and shiny. It gives a bounce to hair and makes it shiny and straight.
Some Hair Care Tips I follow:
1. The most important step to get shiny and healthy hair is to oil them a night before washing them. Oiling helps a lot in controlling hair fall and helps in removing the dryness.
2. Visiting a salon after every three months for trimming, helps in avoiding split ends and promotes hair growth.
3. Avoiding combing the hair when they are wet, helps in avoiding the breakage of hair, as hairs tends to break more when they are wet.
4. Making a braid before sleeping, helps in the growth of hair and it also avoids the chances of breakage of hair.
5. I never use hair straightener, hair curler, hair dryer and any hair styling product or spray. It slowly and gradually damages the hair and makes it brittle and lifeless.
6. Always cover your head with scarf or cap before stepping out in the sun, as harmful UV rays damages the hair and steals it shine and beauty.
7. Using hair masks once in a week helps in getting the hair which we always want.
8. Another important thing is to ensure that we are taking proper diet. Adding vitamins and proteins in our diet help in the growth our hair.
9. Using too many hair pins or tight rubber bands, not only give head-ache but it also breaks the hair. I personally like using colourful hair pins and rubber bands, but I always make sure that they are comfortable or not before buying them.
The After Result:
After making some changes in my life style and following a strict hair care schedule, I noticed a tremendous change in my hair. The hair which used to be thin, lifeless suddenly become alive. My hair fall reduced to an extent, my hair becomes thicker, and they become more bouncy. They are still not the perfect, but I am putting my efforts to make it perfect. Maybe I’ll get my dream hair after using MABH Hair Oil. :)
Why I wish to try the MABH Hair Oil?:
I have read a lot about this oil. When I first read its review on some beauty blog, I thought I might be an average hair oil. But when I searched about this oil, I found that every user is giving the positive feedback. Everyone started noticing the difference after the very first use. I so wanted to try this oil, but its price tag was stopping me from doing this. Being a student and completely dependent on pocket money, it was difficult for me to spend this much amount on a hair oil. But I bookmarked this product and thought to order it one day. Actually I was planning to order it with the money that I’ll get on Rakhi. But then I came across this amazing contest, hopefully I’ll be lucky enough to win this oil. I wish this oil will help me in making my hair thick and lustrous.
