Hey alluring ladies!
Hope each one of you is in complete pink of health and is enjoying the romance – filled monsoons to the fullest. So, coming to the today’s product, I have picked an Elle 18 lippie in the shade Wow Pink for review which is a pretty pink appropriate for college wear. Elle 18 products are omnipresent. Even in a small town like mine where Maybelline stands for only baby lips and the Colossal Kajal and people have hardly heard of brands like Colorbar etc, brands like Elle 18 manage to find their place.
Price : Rs.110 for 4.3 ml
My views on the product:
Packaging – The lipstick comes in the usual black bullet packaging with a dash of pink. The shade name and number can be located on the lower end of the lippie and thus it would be a bit tedious task to locate a particular shade in a stash of lipsticks.
Shade – The Shade 51 Wow Pink is a sort of bubble-gum pinkish colour. It would look good on young girls and would only suit fair to wheatish skin tones. I believe that this shade would completely wash off dusky beauties. (Even on me!) I am a wheatish skin toned person with my skin tone hugely inclining towards fair, I think it somehow washed me off when I applied the color in its full swing. So I always blot after applying this so that it doesn’t look stark and appears more wearable.
It is not the type of shade which would brighten up one’s face, it can be called a modest one which makes the lips look more presentable and gives the illusion of naturally pink lips (off course only after blotting)
Texture – The texture is very creamy and it glides on like butter. It has a small moisturizing core which supposedly contains jojoba oil and cocoa butter to nurture your lips. I have read that these lippies have a tendency of breaking. However I had bought them a month ago, its stinking hot here, I don’t even store them in a refrigerator, and I have not experienced any breaking or melting issues with the lippie (at least till now)
Pigmentation – The lipstick is outstandingly pigmented. As I have mentioned, I need to blot my lips after applying this to get the right amount of pink on my pout. I didn’t expect such kind of color payoff at the price.
Smell – I absolutely adore the smell. I have a strong urge to taste the lippie once every time I uncap this sweet smelling beauty.
Staying Power – This stays on for 1-1.5 hours on me. And the best part of its fading is it leaves behind a beautiful pink stain on your lip which stays on for another 30-45 minutes.
