Hi everyone,
Although my hair isn’t colored I gave the Revlon Color Protection series a try. The shampoo from this range was a huge disappointment as I had mentioned in a review earlier. The conditioner proved to be better and I have been using it often. So I shall now elaborately review it for you girls.
Product Description:
Especially formulated color protection shampoo with Ceramides, MPG molecules and silicones for intensive protection to minimize hair damage. Outrageous® Color protection conditioner gently conditions colored and chemically treated hair, seals hair cuticle ensuring greater strength and preventing color fade. It adds volume, softness and shine to hair.

Directions for use:
After shampoo, apply Outrageous Color protection conditioner along the hair length to the tip. Leave for 2 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.
My take on Revlon Outrageous Color Protection Conditioner:
The bottle is a huge and sturdy white plastic one. It has a flip top cap with a pretty large nozzle. The big container is not travel friendly although the packaging is leak proof. There are diagrams detailing how the MPG molecules, ceramides and silicones work on the hair.
The conditioner is pearly white with slight pink tones. The consistency is pretty thick which I like about this. It spreads on smoothly but doesn’t help to detangle the hair quickly on applying. Washing off this product is easy and it doesn’t leave a sticky residue behind. I generally apply it throughout the length of hair avoiding the scalp. After I air dry my hair, the frizz and stray hairs will be tamed without weighing down my hair.
The fragrance of this is mild which again reminds me of erasers just like the shampoo :P I have been using it for almost the past year and still I have a quarter of the bottle left. So it is really very economical. I like the part where frizz is taken care of. But the downside to it is that there is no feeling of hydration and the hair lacks luster. So if your hair is very dry then it will not help you.
Why I like this conditioner?:
- Controls frizz
- Does not weigh down hair
- Mild fragrance
- Affordable price
Why I don’t like this conditioner?:
- Long list of chemicals including parabens
- No added shine as claimed
- Availabilty
MABH Rating:
3.5/5
It is a pretty good economical conditioner for normal hair and the large quantity would last for ages. :)
I would love to write for your blog and give reviews. Ive sent a mail also ,
waiting for your reply
Have really dry hair Venetha. Will give this a miss. Nice review :)
thanks Nice :-) which conditioner do u prefer fr really dry hair ?
Matrix works fine but then I prefer the Pantene one….. Also I have to wear an egg hair mask before my hair wash to ensure hair is manageable…. Even the winters of Chennai can wreak havoc for my hair
Chennai winters taking a toll on ur hair?!! Must be difficult for u :lying:
I too like the pantene one.. :)
right now i am trying hands in home- made conditioner.will give it a try in future :-)

I’m scared of Revlon hair products… had bad experience with Revlon Flex shampoo :struggle:
Flex shampoo… that was such a dud :pain:
Oh yeah that is a real bad one…. should be taken off the shelves I’d say!
Never tried any revlon product other then nail colours :-P but this one sounds good , but I prefer matrix always. Want to give a try to bodyshop and nature’s Co hair products.. Anyone one know which is good shampoo and conditioner in above two brands.
