Things Required:

  • One banana
  • One cup curd
  • Two teaspoon honey
  • One teaspoon lemon juice

I have waist length hair and above quantity is according to the length of my hair. You can vary the quantity according to the length of your hair.

Banana Hair Mask for Frizzy Hair – Preparation:

To prepare the hair mask first mash a banana and mix it well with curd honey and lemon juice. Make sure you mash the banana properly otherwise it would be very difficult to take it off while washing your hair.

Keep this mask on hair for about 25- 30 minutes and then wash it with a shampoo. Don’t let the mask dry completely else it would be such a task to take it off. If you have oily scalp and suffer from dandruff then you can add a teaspoonful of lemon juice more to the mixture. Lemons help remove dandruff and adds shine to hair. Curd acts a natural conditioner and banana in the pack tames the dry frizzy hair . Honey also acts as a natural conditioner.

Results of this Banana Hair Mask:

This pack will make your frizzy hair soft. For better results I massage my scalp with mustard oil a night before hair wash. In fact it is very important to massage your hair at least once in a week. In the morning I apply this pack on my oily hair and then wash it off with a shampoo.

Since we use a lot of styling products and hot tools on the hair so I believe that we should follow a proper hair care routine as the regular use of these styling products make our hair dull, dry and frizzy. We must take some time out from our busy schedule to follow a hair care routine.

The results of using this natural banana hair mask are to die for. It’s easy to prepare and the ingredients required to prepare this pack are easily available at home. Do try this pack girls and let me know your reviews !! :)

  1. nice one bhawna. but actually lemon aggravates frizz and dryness of scalp unless you have dandruff:) i use this mask but instead i use milk and get omit lemon and add 2 tea spoons of pure coconut oil. you have no idea how yummy that smells :) this is my go to hair pack for my home made hair spa :)

    1. True Dharu.. Lemon may dry out and cause allergies on sensitive scalps. My cousin has experienced tat. But when used on hair, it actually adds a magic shine to it :) Try one time! I have normal hair and I use it. I really makes hair smooth and manageable. However dry scalps can avoid it or use it along with coconut oil as you said :) That’s a good recipe too!

    2. ya dharu.. but i have oily scalp and do suffer from dandruf.. so it works for me.. even ppl with normal hair can add a teaspoon of lemon..it will add shine since there is banana in the pack …. bananas control frizz..in my case it works this way!! :-) :-) :-)

  2. I often use this mask.. I even add Few drops of Essential oils or coconut oil , egg and seriously this really works.. also reduce hairfall for my brother.. nice post Bhawna :kissed: :kissed:

  3. Hello Bhawana,

I am Kirti and i want to try out the mask written beautifully by you. I too have dry frizzy hair. However I have a couple of questions.

    1) Do i have to apply this mask on dry and pre shampooed hair??

    2) Can i apply this mask on hair which has been oiled?

3)do suggest a mild shampoo to be used after rinsing this mask

    awaiting your response
    regards
