Hello pretty ladies!
Who doesn’t like pastel nail polish? Pastels on nails are the cutest ever. And do you know what’s better than pastel? Pastel with shimmer! And that is exactly what makes Lakme color crush nail polish 03 so drool worthy! So let’s get into the review :)
Rs 150 for 9 ml

My Take on this Nail Polish:
First and foremost, I love the packaging. It is so sleek, you actually can use the cap as a mirror! I had to angle the bottle so that the reflection of my camera didn’t show up! Lakme has really stepped up the engine on the packaging of their products. If you pay 150 bucks for a nail polish, and it looks like it’s worth 30 bucks and you picked it up from a local store, there’s really no point is there? We girls like pretty things. Or at least I do. And this one sure is pretty!
This Lakme nail polish in shade 03 is a muted pastel green which leans slightly more toward blue rather than yellow. It is a cool-toned minty sort of colour. The application is non-streaky and the brush has the perfect width. It becomes opaque in two thick coats. You may require three coats if the coats are thin. The first coat dries in less than a minute; subsequent coats take a bit longer to dry.
What I love about this shade is that it has ‘all’ the qualities necessary for a summer and monsoon nail polish. It is such a beautiful shade. It reminds me of a cool refreshing summer drink. And the silver shimmer is unbelievably cute. Like I said earlier – pastel and shimmer makes such a great combo, I am surprised it hasn’t been exploited more – imagine fine shimmer with coral or yellow or tangerine nail polish! Yum :D
As a personal preference, I don’t like too much shimmer in nail polishes; I feel it has the potential to look slightly tacky. But this nail polish is just perfect. The shimmer is very fine, monochromatic and really blends in with the colour. In fact it provides more of a 3-d effect rather than making the polish look all shimmery. From some angles it isn’t even visible.
What I like about this Nail Polish?
- Sleek packaging
- Beautiful summer colour
- Colour stays true
- Quantity is decent given the price
- Formula does not dry up immediately
- Does not chip for 5 days – 1 week
What I don’t like about this Nail Polish?:
- This shade may not suit everyone. Other than that, there are no cons as far as I can see.
MABH Rating: 5/5
Final word:
I absolutely recommend this nail polish to all you lovelies who are looking for a refreshing pastel nail polish. The only con of this is that its price is a little on the higher side and the shade may wash out some skin tones, but other than that, I see no reason to not buy this. :)

Awesome shade adi ;)
It really is Gowthami :)
I don’t like shimmers, they give such a hard time while removing… BTW, nice revu Adi…:)
so true ! it’s a pain removing
Arshi the shimmer in this is very fine, like in Avon nailwear pro Rave that I reviewed.. :) so it’s not at all hard to remove.. but yeah I hate troublesome shimmer too :)
I love this shade.. I have a similar shade from Revlon..
