After reviewing the Ponds Whitening Facial Foam, here is a my take on the latest product from Pond’s, their only scrub, Pond’s White Beauty Tan Removal Scrub.
Price:
Rs. 85 for 50 gm, Rs. 150 for 100 gm.
Shelf Life:
Use before 24 months from mfg. date
My Take:
The product packaging is a typical Pond’s white and pink colored tube having a flip-top cap. The cap shuts tightly so it is travel friendly. The scrub is white in color having tiny pink particles. The fragrance is mild and pleasant.
A pea-sized amount is enough for the entire face as it lathers very well. It feels creamy on the face and is easier to wash off. The scrub particles are so gentle on skin which makes me wonder whether it really removes dead skin cells. My face feels clean after using this scrub. The skin feels soft after use. It removes dirt and excess oil and my face looks brighter for some time maybe this is because it contains 50% brightening cream. I use this daily since the scrub particles are not harsh and daily usage will have a better effect on the skin.
About its claims of tan removal, I feel it works very slow in removing tan. It does not work well in removing old tan. I feel the best way to sue this product is immediately after you come home from a day out. It works better on light tan. I use this scrub as soon as I come home from work and it has effectively prevented further tan.
This scrub never dried out my skin. It did not break me out either. So it is safe to use on all skin types. Those of you having dry skin will like this scrub due to its creamy texture. My face turns oily within an hour of using this scrub. I wish it controlled oil for a longer time. I am currently using the 100 gm tube so this one will last me for around four months. Thus it is cost effective.
Pros:
- Cost effective
- Removes light tan
- Creamy texture
- Suitable for all skin types
- Travel friendly packaging
- Removes oil and dirt
- Nice fragrance
- Did not break me out
Cons:
- Does not remove old tan
- Does not control oil for long
MABH Rating: 3.5/5
Do I Recommend?:
The choice is yours. I feel the VLCC Fade Tan Scrub works better than this one. But there is no harm in trying this scrub.
