Hi Everyone!
Eyes are the mirrors of the soul and we Indians love to exaggerate our eyes to make it the center of attraction. All women want beautiful eyes which make their face glow. A good eye makeup is necessary to make you look good and presentable. And good eye makeup starts with applying the eyeliner in the correct manner.
Whilst talking of eyeliners we now have many types of eyeliners and gone are the days when there were only liquid liners in boring black. Today black liquid liner is facing tremendous competition from it’s colored and glittery versions. So it’s even more needed that one knows the right procedure to apply it . There are many new styles awaiting you so let’s start with the four step picture tutorial on how one should apply eyeliners:.
Step 1 : Cleansing
Clean your face and remove any trace of oil or previous makeup. Then follow up with your usual makeup routine. Some may prefer to do the eyes beforehand (Like me) but some prefer to do it afterwards so it’s up to you to decide. Nevertheless apply primer on lids/ concealer or base if you have pigmented or dark lids. Apply the base on the eye lids and wait for a few moments.
Step 2 : Set with a Compact
Now apply a small dusting of your compact of translucent powder to set the base and to keep oily lids at bay.
Step 3 : Eye Shadow Stencil
Liquid liners are less forgiving than its pencil and gel counterparts and so it’s best to use a guideline to apply the liquid liners at first. So what you can do is take eye shadow (keep it close to the liner color) on an angled liner brush and line the eyes keeping it as close to the lashes as possible. This is your stencil/guide for the liner and now when you are happy with the result of the eye shadow liner move on to the next step.
Step 4 : Line Your Eyes
Take a liquid liner wand with a smooth and thin brush and with slow hands follow the eye shadow guideline you have applied earlier. Applying it over the eye shadow will help it stay longer and will also help you to make minimum mistakes. Keep your palm rested on the cheekbone and tilt your head backwards in front of the mirror for a smooth application. After you are done with lining take a small Q tip dipped in makeup remover to erase the mistakes, if any.
After some time you will become habituated and will be able to draw liquid liners without the help of the guide; But the eye shadow guide helps you even when you are trying new styles or difficult flicks so I hope you will like it.
