Preet asks..
Hi Lancy,
My skin is very sensitive and oily with pimples, marks, blackheads, open pores and dark circles. It is very frustrating. I guess this is due to poor circulation of blood. I want clearer skin. Please suggest some suitable products and remedies for my skin.
Response to the Query:
Hi Preet!
I guess you are not getting enough sleep and you are exposing your skin too much to dust and sunlight everyday. Those are what causing you several skin problems. For oily-sensitive skin, I would suggest any mild herbal face wash without much chemicals. You can also use besan with rose water to cleanse your oily facial skin. This process not only clarifies your oily skin, but also exfoliates the skin gently to remove dead cells and blackheads. I have few more natural ideas for you – check below.
Home Remedies:
Pimples: Do try this Garlic Anti Pimple Treatment at home in order to keep pimples at bay. It has helped many; even I have tried and experienced good results with this DIY pimple treatment with garlic.
Pimple Marks: Here’s a perfect recipe for you, contributed by our Rads :) Find How to Make Acne Spot Removal Face Mask at Home? This works like a wonder.
Blackheads: Steam your facial skin once every week and scrub your skin soon after steaming with a good branded facial scrub, or even a homemade version. You have mentioned that your skin is very sensitive skin, so make sure to use a very very mild scrub as your skin will be more sensitive after steaming. Using a scrub after steaming your face, softens and removes the blackheads soon.
Open Pores: Wash your face twice-thrice a day. Keep your skin clean and maintain your skin by following a good skin care regime. All the open pores will disappear gradually with a proper skincare routine. You can also apply ice cubes over your facial skin couple of times a week to minimize facial pores.
Dark Circles: ‘Sleep’ is the five word remedy for this problem. Get a good night sleep for atleast 8 hours.. Note, it is a good ‘night’ sleep. Regularize your sleeping time and get enough rest for your eyes. Use homemade eye pads by dipping cotton in cucumber juice or rose water. And now coming the part – Best Acne Products for Sensitive skin, I leave it to the lovely readers :) I do not experience acne often so I do not have many ideas about it. From my side, I can suggest you a product, that is Himalaya Neem Face Wash. I love this product as it helps controlling my acne in a good manner. I am not sure how it will work on you; do try it and continue if it suits you. If nothing helps, consult a dermatologist immediately.
P.S: Heat olive oil and massage your face with it (when the oil is in warm state) to improve the blood circulation in your face, especially around eyes if you feel that your skin problems occur due to lack of blood circulation. A homemade oil massage can boost up your facial blood circulation, thus resulting in beautiful skin!

I am a living proof that Cetaphil Cleansing Lotion works. I have emptied over 20 bottles of it, I still use it everyday at-least 2 times a day. I had crazy pimples an year back. I used to use Clearasil face wash, neutrogena etc. etc. Nothing worked. I tried Cetaphil and used a Clindamycin gel every night. It worked perfectly. And I have quite clear skin now with occasional breakouts. Cetaphil is not harsh and does not dry out oily skin. Oily skin should not be dried out much. I loooooooooooove Cetaphil :D LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Cetaphil :D
20 bottles?? :-O Oh my! I am definitely gonna try this cleansing lotion :-bd
