I am a kajal person and I have been experimenting kajals with smudge proof quality and long lasting staying power. When Lakme Eyeconic Range came up with these qualities, I was waiting to try one. I could neither find Lakme kajal online nor in shops, still I don’t know why Lakme kajal disappear all of sudden. Who cares now! I bought the Lakme Eyeconic kajal 3 weeks before and now here is my review on it.
Price and Quanity:
Rs.199 for 0.35g
My Take on Lakme Eyeconic Kajal:
Packaging: Lakme Eyeconic kajal is a twist-up one and retracts back inside safely. It has a sleek body; I personally feel that it is so cute and very travel friendly.
Color, Texture & Pigmentation: I compared colossal kajal with lakme eyeconic kajal. I can say lakme has less intense black color compared to the colossal one. Lakme glides smoothly on upper and lower lash lines. But it doesn’t glide well on the waterline. I don’t why, I use much kajal on waterline and I miss this thing with Lakme Eyeconic. So overall, you need more swipes for an intense black color.
How it works: I tried Lakme Eyeconic kajal when before sleep at night, for testing though. I could see, it doesn’t smudge on my upper lash line, little on my lower lash line and by waterline it smudges a lot. It doesn’t sting my eyes and yes it’s true that it is dermatologically tested. The staying power is about 6 to 7 hours hardly and I feel it’s good compared to the colossal kajal. It will be good for daily use purpose and of course easy on a trip. Removing this kajal is such a pain; you will need a good cleanser to remove this kajal as it is waterproof.
EOTD:
PROS:
- Staying power is too good, I may say 8 to 7 hours but not 10 though
- It is truly waterproof
- Doesn’t sting eyes at all and dermatologically tested
- Doesn’t smudges on upper and lower lash lines
- Good for oily lid babes ;)
- Travel friendly and a cute twist up one
CONS:
- Doesn’t go smooth on waterline
- You will need more swipes for an intense black shade
Rating: 4/5
Do I Recommend?:
Yeah! All could try this one out. I cannot say that it is a great kajal but a decent one.
Would I Repurchase?:
No, it doesn’t go smooth on waterline and smudges a lot on lower lash line as I got watery lids. I am waiting to try the Lakme Satin kajal or and any other which satisfies my oily lids.
Nice review Lancy. I use it on a regular basis & i am on my second pencil.

Nice one Gowmi, I use my kajals on my waterline, mostly. SO i always need a waterproof, smudgeproof and shinier one.
Im currently loving retractable streetwear liner.its too good. with long staying power and in the same price as that of Lakme. Could’nt find a better one than mine as yet :(
