Hi Beauties!
Today, I am going to review a FAB lippy shade from Coloressence. The name is fascinating ‘Coloressence Mesmerising Lip Color in the shade Nude Suede’. I bought it a few months ago from an online site and I am in love with this one. Let us see the reason behind this love.
Product Description:
Mesmerising Lip Color
A unique combination of coriander & basil extract. This color nourishes, protects, moisturizes and is hypoallergenic. Voluminise the lips.
Active Ingredients:
Almond oil, Vitamin E (100% vegetarian. No animal ingredients)
Price & Quantity:
Rs. 125 for 4g
Shelf Life: 3 years
My Take:
The color is a perfect nude one, which immediately caught up all attention from me. It does make my lips look beautiful and covers slight pigmentation. It is a nude shade with lots of small shimmery particles added to it. The shimmer part is the biggest problem for me. The packaging is quite nice and there is a transparent bottom with the color displayed so that we do not have to open the cap to check the shade. Packaging is classy and sturdy. Thus, the product is travel friendly.
It smells like plastic and the fragrance is very artificial, something which I did not like. However, the fragrance does not linger on (Thank GOD). I do not think the color is build-able and no matter how many times you swipe it, it looks the same. It gets transferred very easily. If you are drinking water from a glass, you will easily see your lip prints on it, if you are wearing this one. :P
Another thing is that it has a slightly low staying power of about 2-3 hours only without any meals in between. It neither dries out the lips nor moisturizes them. Thus, I feel the need of a lip balm underneath this. However, let me tell you again, the color is gorgeous and perfect for daytime wear and is perfect for wearing at night. It defines the lips nicely making them look fuller and will complement very fair to dusky skin tones. It fades unevenly though leaving behind a nice tint of color to the lips.
Lip Swatch:
In addition, only active ingredients are mentioned on the pack (Why, Coloressence?). The lipstick is affordable and will not hurt your pocket; is priced at Rs. 125 and has a shelf life of about 3 years. Another pro is that it is 100% vegetarian that means no fish scales have been used in making of the lipstick. It also contains Almond oil, Vitamin E and Basil extracts which is another pro for me.
Summing up the pros and cons..

Yes, I recommend this lipstick to all of you!
Would I Repurchase?:
I will surely repurchase some other shade in this range.
Final Verdict:
I love this lipstick and it is a must buy for nude lovers. Beware of the shimmers though.
Rating: 4/5 (-0.25 for Staying power and -0.5 for shimmers and -0.25 for fragrance)
P.S: My Daughter loves playing around with lipsticks and as this is vegan I allowed her to do a lip swatch (hehe).
Lovely review Appy :) Me too would have liked more if it is shimmer free..
Hmm! Why do these people add shimmers to every lipstick? :/
Yeah :/ Shimmery lippies can’t be used for everyday wear.
Appy, In your daughter’s lip switch, the shade is more on the peach side rather than being nude :) Is it because of flash or is this the original shade?
It is because of flash :P And also because my daughter’s lips are redder than ours(babies have very soft skin and lips) :D
Nice review Airpita… I had another shade from this range peachy pink and like it a lot… will try this too… :)

I will be good with just 2 swipes….but 20!!!!! U have so much patience…:O
Hehe :P :P Actually, you know, I wanted to find out whether the color is build-able or not and so I did 20 wipes and still the 2 swipes and 20 swipes seem one and the same na? Thus I figured out that the color is not build-able at all :P
20 swipes is so much really… and the shimmer part… will give this a miss :( nice review arpita… is this ur lip swatch or ur daughter’s?
Its my daughter’s lip swatch Supriya :D
Actually, you know, I wanted to find out whether the color is build-able or not and so I did 20 wipes and still the 2 swipes and 20 swipes seem one and the same na? Thus I figured out that the color is not build-able at all :P
