Hello everyone!
Today, I’m sharing some facts about hair conditioner with a DIY hair conditioning recipe for you.
From my experience with store bought conditioners, I have noticed several things! The parlor girl always advises me to use store bought branded conditioners only on the hair strand and not on the SCALP as it would spoil the hair roots with the loaded chemical content. I was wondering when the store bought conditioners actually help in making hair shiny, smooth and supple, how does they make it? While hair is a dead follicle itself, how does these conditioners make them visibly soft? It’s because of some silicon content or other chemical content in them. They coat the hair strands and make them looks shiny, soft and also make them manageable. Do you think this helps in improving our hair in any way? Of course not much! Several store bought hair conditioners help just in two ways, they are that they prevent split ends by moisturizing the hair and they also makes your hair manageable. Using store bought conditioners on your hair is not a bad thing, but they do not really help much in providing anything EXTRA to your hair.

You need to be a little wise while choosing your hair conditioner. Choose conditioners without SILICON because the silicon coats your hair strands and give a temporary shiny look. Do you think it is permanent? Not at all! Try to use mild, herbal nourishing conditioners on your hair every time after your shampoo wash as conditioners are meant for painting the moisture loss due to shampooing. Me, and many of my friends really found our hair soft, silky and manageable after started using hair conditioners. Its sad that many people around India are still not concerned about conditioning their hair after shampooing.
Lets check some more about how conditioners work.
While some store bought conditioners just provide the temporary shine to our hair, there are some exceptional ones. For an example, there are some nourishing oils and creams available in the market which should be used before shampooing your hair. They actually nourish the scalp, hair roots, hair body and provides a deep conditioning treatment to your hair. When we shampoo our hair after using these kinda conditioners, they prevent excess moisture loss on the hair and scalp due to shampooing. Everything is in your hand, you need to choose a suitable conditioner for your hair to maintain it’s health and beauty. Health and beauty of hair depends on your maintenance and the hair products you use. Of course health matters too!!

I haven’t tried many branded conditioners as I make my conditioners myself at home naturally most of the time. Dove, Loreal, Garnier Fructics and Sunsilk are good. They make hair manageable and also shiny :) Just avoid applying conditioners on scalp or hair roots whatever brand they are.
