Previously I reviewed Lakme Perfect Radiance Fairness Face wash here and this time I am going to review Lakme’s fruit blast strawberry face wash. This is the second face wash of Lakme brand I have used till now. I loved the perfect radiance face wash lot as it suited perfectly for my skin type. You can read its detailed review here. The reason why I preferred this one to use next is, its strawberry flavor. This has become my very favorite and best smelling fruit face wash for its very delicious, sweet fruity smell. Usually I’ll describe about a product’s fragrance in “my view” topic but this time said it in introduction itself, just guess how sweet it is then! Let’s now move on to the detailed review.

The Packaging
My View About this Product
As I mentioned above, it’s smell and just it’s smell took me away. I loved it very much more than the fragrance of any other face wash. As I am a great strawberry lover, I enjoyed the pleasant natural smell of strawberries in it, but not sure how it will be for you if you are not crazy about strawberries much. Okay I think that I am boring you with the “fragrance” thing much :p Now we can discuss about its packaging, colour and texture. It comes in a pack as every other Lakme’s face wash comes ,a tube with a flip cap which is firm and travel friendly. But this face wash’s packaging is not at all opaque like the perfect radiance one, so it is much more easier to find out how much is left in the tube. I think I need not say about the colour, you seen strawberries right? This face wash is the same of that colour.
It is gel based and has tiny wax beads in it which gave me a feel that I added a pinch of sugar to my face wash. I don’t know how much it helps in exfoliating but the face wash claims that it is in order to exfoliate dead skin. But no offence, it did not irritate my skin at all. Another special thing about this face wash is, it gives a cooling effect once applied onto my facial skin and work up with lather. It really does, I felt an icy cold effect on my facial skin. You cannot expect a creamy lather with this face wash, it lathers pretty normal. People who love to use heavy foaming face washes may feel little disappointed with this thing, but it does lather normal. It washes off without any slippery feel, yet it takes more water to get washed off. I am using it for past few weeks, it softened my skin, does the cleansing job well as a good face wash, no side effects at all, no breakouts and helped my open pores to get shrink a bit. This face wash doesn’t moisturize, nourish or something but didn’t strip off moisture at all. I didn’t feel any tightness; the only thing I felt is softness. Yes! I am really happy with this face wash a lot, feeling that lakme suits me well and good. Take a try if you a need yummy fruity smelling mild face wash.
PROS
- Fragrance! It smells like mashed juicy and yummy strawberries.
- It softens skin with regular use and minimizes pores a bit.
- It doesn’t strip off skin’s natural moisture, so no tightness, no itchy feel after washing face.
- It contains exfoliating beads, which removes dead skin cells up to an extent.
- The fresh feel it delivers after every wash which tempts to wash face often.
- Made of natural fruit ingredients, so it does no harm to your facial skin and therefore no side effects.
- The cooling effect which it gives while washing face, I think this is the reason for pore minimization.
- The price is affordable for the quantity and hence it is worth buying.
- The product comes in a see through tube with a flip cap, so the packaging makes it very good. It is easy to get to know how much is left in the tube and is travel friendly due to its firm flip cap.
CONS
- No moisturizing effect. So, the facial skin surely needs a moisturizer after every wash, especially in dry winters. Dry skins may feel a little tight in winters, so go for nourishing face washes.
- It lathers less, so there is a need for a big squeeze; hence the product gets over sooner than other foamy face washes. It last for about 20 to 25 days for me. Its not a big con at all while seeing the fragrance and other goodness :D
- No more cons! It is a nice fruit face wash for those who expect freshness, mildness and love fruits. No harsh chemicals and thus makes us feel natural with a yummy fragrance while every face wash. I love it! Worth a try!
My Recommendation: Oily and normal skins go for it! Dry people will need a deep nourishing one. It is going to be your HG face wash if you love strawberries, as same as me :P
My Rating: 4/5 (-1 for less moisturizing effect and less lathering effect)
Will I Repurchase: Sure! Why not? I will purchase mainly for the yummy strawberry fragrance.
