Lacto Calamine is my first ever used cosmetic product recommended by my sweet mom :D When I was studying in 5th std, I used to torture my mom daily by asking her to get me some cream for my face.. Seeing this she was so upset as creams in the market would spoil my 10 yr old young skin. Then she got an idea and got me a small pack of Lacto Calamine as it is very gentle and side effect free. Finally I got what I wanted and started using Lacto Calamine everyday on my skin as I am fond of cosmetics :P (From the age of 10 itself)
I don’t exactly remember till when I used it, may be one or two months.. that’s it, then forgot about it. After a very long time I got a pack of Lacto Calamine before 2 months to review it here. For past two months I am using my first ever known cosmetic product, noting it’s pros and cons. As my skin is oily, I bought the classic one. It also comes in another pack for dry skins, I think it is. Lacto Aloe Moisture.. Okay let me review the classic one here first and I’ll go for the aloe one next time when I shop.

My View About Lacto Calamine Classic Lotion
It is not mentioned in the pack whether it is a lotion or cream. It is thicker than a lotion but thinner than a cream so I take it as lotion. Lacto calamine comes in a thick plastic bottle which is flat. The bottle is lavender and white mixed in colour. Even though the packaging is not too classy, I loved it :) The lotion is not too thin or not too thick as a cream, it is milkish pink in color which absorbs easily into my normal to oily skin.
I used Lacto calamine as a day cream as it doesn’t make my skin look oilier as some of the other moisturizers do. It was perfect, oil free, absorbs easily into my skin. I think this one will suit oily skins best than dry ones because the moisturizing effect is very less compared to the other moisturizers, may be the aloe one wills suit dry girls :D Oh I forgot to mention about it’s fragrance, it’s different but nice, like a flowery scent. But not much flowery too, Lacto calamine has it’s own fragrance and it’s a bit powdery cream in texture as far I have seen. But it’s not a matter at all as it acts as a perfect daily moisturizer for oily skins. It may leave some whitish cast in very dark complexions if applied too much. Overall, it’s a great lotion for oily skins and Lacto calamine is recommended by many dermatologists as it is very mild. So go head! Get a bottle and start using oily girls :) You will surely fall in love with it as I did!

- Recommended by many dermatologists for allergies and to soften skin texture.
- Best moisturizer for oily skins in all seasons and normal skins in summer, may be in winter too depending upon the oil secretion in normal skins.
- Acts as a good makeup base in oily skins.
- Clears out skin texture and also evens out complexion with regular use.
- Mild fragrance which doesn’t hurt my sensitive nose and the consistency which gets absorbed easily.
- Affordable for the quantity and good worth.
CONS
- Not suitable for dry skins in any season.
- Whitish cast formed in darker complexions.
- No SPF, well we cannot expect for a good SPF and all for this much affordable price. I don’t consider it as a con at all for the good worth of this lotion :)
No other cons! :) Perfect skincare product to achieve clean and clear skin with regular use (Only for oily and normal skinned people) It is one of my top favorite product which I use often.
My Recommendation : A great moisturizer for oily(All season) and Normal skins (In summers)
