Elle 18 Color Pops Lipstick Cranberry Review, Swatches and Photos

Today I am reviewing another lipstick, a multi functional one actually (well for me it does) from my Elle 18 collection. It’s my all time favorite ethnic wear lipstick and also.. My perfect cream bronzer!!!! Yes like I said its multi functional.

This beauty is my perfect bronzer just the right shade for me. It gives an amazing glow to my face s well as it contours perfectly giving me flawless features. All skin tones can use this either as a bronzer or for contouring alone if you are chalk white and wish for that sun kissed skin..

My Take:

This lipstick comes in a black case with twister to get the lipstick out. The packaging is chic and trendy.

Its a brick red lipstick with golden undertone. There are tiny shimmers (not sparkles guys…like that multi coloured glitter.. .nope just shimmer!) This lipstick gives complete coverage and that golden and bronze shimmers just add glow to your face like anything.

The lipstick is neither creamy nor matte. It just give a soft finish. The golden shimmers not apart from the main lipstick so you will see that the texture is extremely smooth. Few swipes alone will give amazing colour pay off. The lipstick smells amazing like all other Elle 18 lipsticks – bubble gum like.

This lipstick stays for 3 to 4 hours. Add a bronze based lip gloss and it will stay even more. As it starts to fade the shimmers remain giving a nice effect but if totally dries up it will make it look as if you have swallowed bronze glitter or shimmer particles. Its messy to remove but the shimmers will come out easily with  even a mild a face wash.

Coming to bronzer part, the shimmers work here in my benefit rather than hindering the effect like on my lips. Simply amazing! Take a fluffy brush and hold the lipstick. Swipe the brush on it to pick up some.and blend on your skin well. Ta da! Perfect sun kissed skin is yours! Don’t try this unless you know contouring properly and to use a bronzer.

PROS:

• Excellent color and very ethnic and Indian to wear
• Not balmy and not matte but moisturizing
• Suits every skin tone
• It can also be used as a bronzer
• Imparts glow to your face

CONS:

• Except that the dried up shimmers is a turn off on lips. Can’t find any other con with this one!

It a must for every college girl out there with limited pocket money and too many parties to go to! ;)

Would I Repurchase?:

It is my bronzer! so of course I will :D but till I find a better shade.
