Ways to Save My Crowning Glory : My Hair Story, Routine and Henna Recipe

Once upon a time, there was a girl with envious long hair and beautiful pink gown. Well friends, I am not talking about myself. It is the story of a beautiful girl, known as “Rapunzel”. How many of you want to grow long hair like her? Yes, Yes, I heard it, all of you have raised your hands. Well, me too .

From the time I have seen her story in the TV, I was craving for long hair like her. In my childhood days, I had short up to the ear length (almost like a boy cut hair), Until I was 12 years old. Up to that time, my mom used to take care of my hair, by oiling them regularly. From 12 years of age I started growing my hair, and at the age of 15, I had waist length hair. Between these period, I experimented with different kinds of hair oil, shampoo, serum, conditioner etc. At that time, my main concern was growing my hair long, which was my childhood dream. Everything was okay, until I used a hair oil which I saw in a TV commercial, known to grow hair long. Before using that I used to loose few strands a day. I used approx. 2 bottles of that hair oil, and then realized, that I had started to loose more hair. After that I have tried many things, to stop my hair fall but nothing worked. In my college years, I have done nothing expect shampooing and conditioning.

Started loosing hairs at my early teens to now at my early twenty’s, I was afraid that after some years, there will be no hair remain for falling anymore. That’s why I have chopped my hair up to or 1 inch below my shoulder length, from hip length hair 9 months ago, and also for a change in hair style. Cutting my hair didn’t decrease my hair fall. Now I want my long hair back!

Maybelline Color Sensational Bold Matte Lipstick : Mat 5 (Red 692) Review, Swatches

Hello Pretty Ladies,

How you all been? August is here. It is my favorite month of the year. I just feel very happy from inside. My birthday falls in this month. It means I can buy stuff in the name of “Birthday Haul” without feeling guilty. :)

Alright let’s move to today’s review now. Today I will be reviewing one of the bold matte lipsticks from Maybelline. This, as the name suggests, is a beautiful shade of red. Red lips are classy and never go out of fashion. You can skip all the makeup but stick to red lips and you will have all the attention even at a crowded place. I bet we all have experienced this. I usually like bright reds. This shade is little bit muted red but I still liked it. Let’s get to know more about this lipstick.

Price: Rs. 375 for 3.9 gm

Patanjali Herbal Henna Review

my hair

Hello lovely people!

I have already mentioned the paramount importance of henna in my hair care routine. Dried and grounded henna is indeed the best because it is absolutely free from all kinds of preservatives and colorants, but for a lazy soul like me, drying the henna leaves and grinding them is indeed a monotonous task and that is where these ready-made henna powders come to rescue.

I have been using Nupur henna powder since the time I started applying henna to my hair and it has never given me a chance to complain. I use henna solely for conditioning and Nupur henna has never disappointed me in that respect! It makes my hair very silky.

I picked Patanjali henna just for the sake of trying it as the indigenous brand has never disappointed me. And they are so economical that you can pick lots and lots of products and the price would hardly hurt your pocket.

Price : Rs 35 for 100 g; Buy : Amazon.in

My Views:

This henna powder comes in a simple plastic packaging with ingredients, manufacturing date and directions of usage printed on it. It claims to contain around 9 herbs besides henna which include neem, gooseberry, tea leaves etc.

The powder is fine textured, dark green in color and smells like dried henna leaves, a bit different from the Nupur henna powder. Nupur henna has a slight pleasant smell than this one. It is also stated on the pack that you have to use it within 180 days once you have opened the pack.
